The follow-up system is a proven organizational principle from the analog office world. Documents are not simply filed away but marked with a date when they should be presented again. FRED-App transfers this principle to the digital world – entries automatically appear on your Today page on the chosen date.
FRED-App has six entry types: Tasks (things to do), Reference (information to look up), Notes (quick thoughts), Decisions (made or pending decisions), Research (questions to clarify), and Ideas (creative inspirations).
Contexts are flexible labels to categorize your entries – e.g., by projects, people, topics, or areas of life. An entry can have multiple contexts. This way you can quickly find all relevant information on a specific topic.
Quick Add enables lightning-fast input using a special syntax: #Context for labels, +7 for follow-up in 7 days, p1 for highest priority. Press "a" to open Quick Add from anywhere in the app.
With Email Reception (Professional plan), you get a personal email address. Emails to this address are automatically converted to entries in FRED-App. Ideal for forwarding important emails or sending yourself reminders. CC and BCC are also supported.
Yes, FRED-App supports flexible recurrence patterns: daily, weekly (on specific days), monthly (e.g., every 1st or last day), and yearly. Perfect for regular reviews, birthdays, or recurring routines.
Workspaces (Professional plan) allow you to separate different areas of work – e.g., business and personal, or different companies. Each workspace has its own contexts and entries. You can switch between workspaces or view them all together.
AI Summary (Professional plan) analyzes your entries and creates intelligent reports – such as weekly reviews, priority checks, or project progress. The AI only processes your data on your explicit request and stores nothing permanently.
Yes, with AI Document Import (Professional plan) you can upload PDFs, Word documents, and text files. The AI automatically extracts tasks, decisions, and reference information and creates entries.
Yes, you can receive a daily overview of your upcoming tasks via email. Additionally, you can get reminders for entries with specific times – a few minutes before they're due.
The AI Solution Finder (Professional plan) generates concrete solution suggestions for your tasks and creative inspiration for your ideas at the click of a button. The AI analyzes your entry and provides practical recommendations – including relevant web links for further exploration.
Pricing & Subscriptions
FRED-App offers two plans: Starter for individuals with all core features, and Professional with advanced features like workspaces, email reception, AI document import, and AI summaries.
Yes, both plans can be tested free for 7 days. During this time, you have full access to all features of the chosen plan. You can cancel at any time.
Yes, you can upgrade or downgrade at any time. When upgrading, the difference is charged proportionally. When downgrading, the difference is credited.
We accept credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) and SEPA direct debit. For businesses, we also offer payment by invoice.
Both are possible. With yearly payment, you save two months – you effectively pay for only 10 months.
Privacy & Security
All data is stored exclusively on servers in Germany and within the EU. We are committed to protecting the data entrusted to us and work only with certified European data centers.
Yes, FRED-App is fully GDPR compliant. We only process your data as necessary to provide the service. You can export or delete your data at any time. The managing director of our external data protection officers is TÜV-certified as a data protection officer.
No, your data is never used for training AI models. You're in control when it comes to AI features: The optional functions (document import, summaries, suggestions) only process your data on your explicit request and store nothing permanently.
All connections to FRED-App are SSL/TLS encrypted. Your data is protected both in transit and at rest. We rely on proven security standards and regular security audits.
Yes, you can export your data at any time. We are working on a comprehensive export function that includes all your entries, contexts, and attachments.
